Hello folks! Today I present you a commercial spot of Teeth filler substance called Plomb-R.
There were the team of three responsible for rendering and compositing. I was one of them.
It was the first time I used Normality in such production.

Today I want to show you a little test I made. It's about Stefan Minning's Normality plugin.
Of course for users of Nuke or other programs it's nothing unusual. But as you know in After Effects there is no such thing.
So here comes Normality.
As you know it uses normal pass to generate information for lights, reflections, refractions etc.
But hey, why using normality? Can't you just render it right? Yeah I can render nice image, but it takes lot of time, unless you got whole town of computers.
So this is it. You are able to create shading, reflections, refractions directly in AE.
Flexibility to make changes is it's greatest power.
I use it in professional work. It's been used in few commercials to create additional specular pass. Once I used it to create whole ligting system for an internet series.
Below I present you turntable of a car I recently modeled. I rendered masks for every single elemnt of the model, normall pass and other useful stuff. I rendered Ambient Occlusion pass as well. And baked shadow on the floor.
It took me abaout 15 minutes to set up the scene, and about 30 minutes to render 150 frames sequention:)
Image has some anti-aliasing problems. It's a minor problem:)
The I created light system for that scene. It is to much to write about that today - so you have to wait for the full post about Normality. I'm going to show you how to setup more complex scene.
Sorry for ma bad english. Hope you find this post helpful:) Also hope to find some time soon to write full post about normality:)
Here is the ling to Stefan Minning website: Normality
Yet another one:) Ferrari 458 Italia GT3. As you figured out of it's name this is a racing car. It has been very complicated car. I also faced many other problems during modeling this beauty.
Total time 20 hours - I think so.
Ok. So it's enough for one day. Come later to find something interesting.
Here is another model I've created. This time it's Toyota FJ Cruiser. Very unusual car. Hard to spot one on the street, especially in Poland. This is version prepared for hard off-road racing.
Here are some viewport screens of Scania and Mercedes - Benz Actros:) Both models were already rendered and posted on my website. However here you can watch some more models details. Enjoy:)
